📋 General Refund Policy
GiftPot facilitates group gift collections where multiple contributors pool money for a recipient. Due to the nature of group gifting, our refund policy balances individual contributor needs with the collective goal of the gift pot.
Standard Refund Eligibility
- Within 24 hours: Full refund available if pot hasn't been withdrawn
- 24-72 hours: Refund at organizer's discretion
- After 72 hours: Generally not eligible unless special circumstances
- After withdrawal: Must be handled between contributor and organizer
🔄 How to Request a Refund
Follow these simple steps to request a refund:

Collect your contribution receipt, pot ID, and transaction details
Step 2: Email Support
Send request to support@giftpot.app with all details
Step 3: Verification
We verify your contribution and eligibility (1-2 business days)
Step 4: Processing
Approved refunds process in 5-10 business days
📊 Common Refund Scenarios
Made a mistake with the amount or contributed to wrong pot? Request within 24 hours for full refund.
Accidentally contributed twice? We'll refund the duplicate payment immediately.
If organizer cancels the pot before completion, all contributors receive full refunds.
Within 24 hours: usually approved. After 24 hours: requires organizer approval.
Suspected fraud? Report immediately. We investigate and refund if fraud is confirmed.
Once recipient withdraws funds, refunds must be arranged directly with organizer.

If you believe a pot is fraudulent or have concerns about how funds are being used, please contact us immediately. We will:
- Investigate the claim within 2 business days
- Freeze the pot if fraud is suspected
- Work with all parties to resolve the dispute
- Involve law enforcement if necessary
Chargebacks
We encourage customers to contact us before initiating a chargeback with their bank. Chargebacks harm all parties involved and may result in:
- Account suspension for the contributor
- Legal action if fraudulent
- Additional fees for all parties
