What information does the recipient need to provide?
Recipients provide basic information for identity verification: full name, date of birth, and last 4 digits of SSN. This is required by banking regulations and handled securely by Stripe.
Can international recipients receive payouts?
Currently, we only support US bank accounts. International payout options are coming in Q2 2025. Gift cards may be available for international recipients depending on the retailer.
What if the recipient doesn't have a bank account?
Recipients without bank accounts can choose gift cards (coming soon) or have the funds sent to a trusted family member's account. Prepaid debit card options are also in development.
Is there a deadline to claim funds?
Recipients have 90 days to claim their gift. After that, funds are returned to contributors minus processing fees. We send multiple reminders to ensure gifts are claimed promptly.
